The app sets the Period from the year you moved in, not the year the home was built.
Feng shui considers the luck of time, the luck of the land and building, and the luck of the people living there. The app uses the year your relationship with the home began, which is the move-in year.
For a pre-owned or renovated home, choose the year you actually moved in. Some schools use the construction year, so follow your teacher's approach if you have one.
